1. Who we are

IELTSweb is operated by IELTSweb LLC ("IELTSweb", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the IELTSweb website and AI scoring service (the "Service"), you enter into a contract with IELTSweb LLC and agree to these Terms.

2. Acceptance

By continuing to use the Service after these Terms are made available to you, you confirm you have read, understood and agreed to them. You confirm that you are at least 13 years old (or the minimum digital-consent age in your country) and, if signing up on behalf of an organisation, that you have authority to bind it.

3. What the Service does

IELTSweb provides simulated IELTS practice tests (Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking) and an AI-powered scoring report for Speaking attempts. AI scoring is generated automatically using third-party large language models. Scores and feedback are indicative practice estimates only — they are not official IELTS results and are not endorsed by, or affiliated with, the British Council, IDP, Cambridge Assessment English or the IELTS Partners.

4. Acceptable use

You must not, and must not allow anyone else to:

  • use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent or abusive purpose;
  • upload audio or text that infringes someone else's intellectual property, privacy or other rights;
  • upload illegal, harmful, harassing, deceptive, hateful or sexually explicit content;
  • attempt to probe, scan, scrape or reverse-engineer the Service, or interfere with its security;
  • resell, redistribute or sublicense the Service or AI outputs as your own product;
  • use the Service to train, fine-tune or benchmark another AI system without our prior written consent.

5. AI-generated content

AI scoring outputs may contain inaccuracies. You are responsible for how you act on the feedback. The Service must not be used as a substitute for advice from a qualified IELTS examiner, teacher or other regulated professional. You retain rights in the audio and text you submit (your "Inputs"); you grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, transmit and process Inputs solely to provide the Service to you, including sending Inputs to our AI subprocessors for scoring.

6. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for activity that occurs under your account. Tell us promptly at support@ieltsweb.com if you suspect any unauthorised use.

7. Payments and our reseller

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms. Refunds for change of mind are governed by our Refund Policy.

Each AI Scoring report is a one-time purchase priced at the amount displayed at checkout. There is no recurring subscription.

8. Intellectual property

The Service, including software, website design, content, branding and AI scoring logic, is owned by IELTSweb LLC or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for your personal IELTS practice.

9. Service availability

We work hard to keep the Service running but do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

10. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability to you arising out of or in connection with the Service is capped at the greater of (a) the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and (b) USD 50. We are not liable for indirect, consequential or special damages, including loss of profits, data, goodwill or opportunity. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

11. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, if your account presents a security or fraud risk, or if required by law. You may stop using the Service at any time. On termination, AI scoring reports already delivered remain available subject to our data retention practices described in the Privacy Notice.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email or via the Service. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where IELTSweb LLC is registered. Disputes will be handled by the competent courts of that jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer law gives you the right to bring proceedings in your country of residence.
